Alright, let me explain. After seeing a photograph taken in an abandoned Chernobyl kindergarten, I decided to recreate a picture that was on a flash card sitting in rubble, some 20 years after it was last used. While it is a very sad looking picture (I still don't know what the word on this thing means), even in the rubble, it has a unique art style which I think I captured pretty well.
I spent well over 4 hours creating and fine-tuning this image until it was just right. There's nothing more for me to say except that I'm tired. Oh, and apparently the way you pronounce the text is "Z-ah-Y-kah-ah". Horray Soviet art! Here's the original image that this was based off of : [link] While this image does not belong to me (the photo certainly doesn't), there is no feasible way for me to find the owner/creator. Sorry. EDIT! Apparently, thanks to a faithful watcher TGcollector the word "Zhan-kah" apparently means "bay or creek". Why there's a bunny in the picture is anyone's guess xD Comments
Hey that's pretty good.
My mom is learning Ukrainian, because she wants to adopt a baby from there. She might know the word. Or could figure it out maybe. The card looks like a playing card for maybe an Old Maid type game... -- People on meth shouldn't make meth. It's always the second batch that blows. You'll never guess what but I found out what the word means. It is similar to what you have as it's pronunciation zhan-kah which means...
bay or creek! which judging by the flashcard is quite close to what it depicts, a little stream. Hope you enjoyed that info. -- If you keep looking back, it's hard to see what may be ahead of you. |
